The Vision
Along the winding waters of the golden serpent, Marañón River lies a piece of land pulsating with life—the Aynua Arboretum.
Here, native Theobroma cacao trees stand strong in an intact, biodiverse forest ecosystem.
We are expanding Aynua Arboretum beyond a sanctuary of conservation into a space of direct personal connection with heart and earth. We are creating a one of a kind hermitage where people can restore and renew their relationship with themselves and the Earth with no distractions. It is also a nature education space for cacao farmers and specialists to interact and develop sustainable skills for future cacao production.
Our dream is to build custom cabins and infrastructure within the cacao forest, for guests to experience life in wild nature with comfort. These spaces will allow guests, practitioners, and seekers to:

The Marañón River valley is a vital cradle of cacao genetics and biodiversity, but natural forests face continuous pressure from deforestation, illegal mining, and land development. Human waste and garbage often land up in and on the shores of the river.

01 /Eco-Conscious Forest Cabins
Our goal is to build 3 eco cabins, designed with local, natural materials to blend seamlessly into the forest canopy, offering comfort, privacy, and full immersion in the landscape. Wake up to the ancient energy of cacao trees and blossoming native cacao pods and flowers. This will provide income to local family builders in our village.
02 / Ceremonial & Gathering Spaces
Our goal is to build 3 gathering spaces.
A dedicated open-air space overlooking the trees and the river for drinking cacao, quiet reflection, yoga, and integration.
A cacao temple for inner and earth devotion, designed to slow time, awaken the senses, and invite deep reflection through sound, silence, and sacred medicine.
A small outdoor space to prepare ancestral cacao and offer workshops.
03 / Sustainable Infrastructure
Cacao processing stations for high quality bean production, and education, main education space for cultural immersions, eco-sanitation facility to ensure our footprint honors the land we occupy.
